This is a question I asked when I first started too $al :) Here is the response I got. Hope it helps :)
jstkdn: Yup Lucy keeps changing her whereabouts. You visit her soon after you got the invite, or you have to wait until next time. Good news, there is always a next time. :)
cfm: It isn't just travel that sends her back into hiding either. If you open up a new case, she moves too.
