If a townie says that a suspect does not know anything about the case, does that mean that that suspect didn't commit the crime? I looked for the answer to this question in the Welcome Newbies thread, but couldn't find it.
Thanks,

If a townie says thats a suspect doesn't know anything about a case then it means that that person can't provide WE (witness evidence). For example 'yes i suspect so an so because i saw them washing blood from there hands.' That person will just give the answer no all the time.

Also it doesn't mean the suspect didn't commit the crime, it is still possible for him to be guilty.

Hope that helps

OK I think this is right.

If a townie says that Reginald Goforth doesnt know anything about the murder, then he won't have anything to say.

If a townie says that Reginald Goforth thinks he knows who the murder is, he will point the finger at 'someone'. That someone 'might not' be the murder. He only THINKS it's that person.

In each case, yes, Reginald can still be the murderer.

Ok, I think I understand now. Thanks so much, Ms. Corning and Secret Squirrel.
