I am on a mainly smarts archtype and I have most all the analyzing skills.

I have been saving for getting lock picking but now I see intermediate sweet talk (OOOooooOOoo)
I really want the idea of breaking in people's houses but I'm following charm currently when it comes to unclamming.

So what should I choose, "The all cool" LOCKPICKING, or "Charming, Sauve" INTERMEDIATE SWEET TALK???

I'd vote for sweet talking :)

Lockpicking will get you two free questions per case. (either alibi or motive)

Sweet talking will give you a better chance (I think 10% better) for every time you question any suspect for alibi or motive.

You will want both eventually.

You do have rule bending already? You need that for the townies.

I had the similar problem and question: http://newyork.hypoware.com/map/cityhall/post.spy?id=13138

I suggest to take Advanced ST too before Lock picking. I've done it so, and it was a good decision.
Lockpicking can save you 0-2 question, but possibility of asking is more important.
