I know that this is old, but I have a question: if we can wear jackets, should we not wear pants/slacks/skirts?
I know there was a time in Sleuthville when we did not even have shoes, but some pants doesn't sound like a bad idea..anyone else?

BTW, the streets of London can get chilli and windy and sometimes even my full lenght possum coat is blown by the wind, and... well you get the picture...

LOL, I think this would make the detective page way too cluttered. Not to mention make the lockers even more cluttered and make it harder to get your first full outfit. JMHO.

I guess you are right about the clutter in the lockers and detectives. But getting your first outfit is hard only if you are not in an agency anyways.

Everyone was really happy about the shoes, so why not pants?

If I had to wear pants, how would I still be able to charm male suspects?

You could wear a charming A-line skirt, or if you are a guy, a charming kilt...

You're right, it is only hard to get your first full outfit if you're not in an agnecy. But I would wager most of us got our first full outfit while not in an agency. I know I did. And either way, it would still make it harder. It will be harder to get 6 pieces rather than 5. (hat, 2 accessories, jacket, bottom piece, shoes) Also, do you mean a jacket plus skirt? or jacket, skirt, blouse? And remember we do have a sari instead of a jacket which is +4 charm so you're not confined to jackets.... I personally would rather Ben spend time on other things (like upgrading the pm system or implementing hangers in the lockers) than creating more gear. And I do think I saw that the new Shangri La expansion would create new gear.

I think that we are maxed out on the number of pieces of clothing we can wear.

If the example of pants are added, they would be a +1 or +2 similar to what happened when shoes were introduced. That translates to a 5% or 10% better chance of getting someone to answer your questions.

Unless the suspects get tougher to question (which did not happen when we got shoes as far as I can tell) it would make things a bit too easy.

I do go with the general idea that there will be more items to be had in Shangri-la. I am thinking they will be more along the lines of the travel kit. Items they work for a specific purpose rather than a general increase of charm or toughness.

I saw that the new expansion would have new gear, but I assumed it would be more of the same type of stuff (i.e accessories, shoes, hat, and coat/jacket/sari)
I agree that the hangers would be MUCH, MUCH better than new equipment, but, hey, we just yaking here...
And I meant a bottom piece in general, not as a replacement for what we already have (jacket/coat, etc.); I mean a skirt, pants, shorts, etc.

Oh and also, the new piece would just go on the left side (monitor left). You know on the other side of the shoes.
