One of the great things about sleuth is that you get to meet and interact with people from all over the world and sometimes from places with interesting social/economical/political climates.

Balthaak I can appreciate that it's a lot of money for you to subscribe, I can also appreciate that the postal dynamics are funky and so mail doesn't always get through. However I also appreciate that trying to determine a subscription solution to the dilemma of our friends who play Sleuth from countries that are having some sort of strife that is prohibitive to obtaining a subscription is challenging.

David Adams was trying very hard to explain, to everyone, what about countries like Macedonia make subscribing by traditional means hard. He was also trying hard to think of solutions for you. Ok, so the solutions don't work but telling people that they don't understand and COULD not understand is insulting.

When people keep saying that the subscription is very affordable that is because for most people who are adults with jobs, or teens with jobs or parental financial endorsements, who are on this site - it is. The reality is that the site is run in the US, this means that the price of a subscription is taken into consideration from our economic point of view. It wouldn't make sense for it to be otherwise.

Lady Emerald Devon is a wonderful person who has put a lot of work into the game and into our community. She is known for her kindness to those who ask for help and for always looking for ways to build sleuth up. She is not ignorant, nor is she unreasonable. However you already implied that we were incapable of understanding and compassion, and yes it felt like you were implicating people who were reading this thread.

I am glad that you are a part of sleuth and have expanded our global community to include Macedonia but if you feel that we cannot understand the trials of such citizenship then please let us know by posting in the Gumshoe Lounge and help us learn. Engage in dialogue. But it is useless to say that we couldn't understand as it doesn't lead to community building.

Balthaak, actually Leddie was in a way agreeing with you and you went and snubbed her!!! And she HAS been subbed before. For a very long time.
The point to everyone that keeps complaining about what they don't have is this:

If you want the premium content and the benefits that come along with it, then spend the money. Just like in real life, if you want the fancy and nice things, you have to pay the money for it.

Be happy that you have a game that you can actually play for free without a trial time expiring thus making you never able to play the game again without buying the subscription. Sleuth Noir is very generous in letting people play forever if they chose as an unsubbed person without putting any expiration date on it.

Anyways, again, be happy with what you have, because its more than a lot of people have.

I'm trying to create a sleuth paradigm whereupon the space time continuum is rent asunder...

I am sorry if anyone got this personal (other than the person it was intended for).

It's just insulting that someone would say that you whine when you are only looking for a solution for your problem.

Still, the problem remains...

PS. I knew she was subscribed :)

But, I am supposed to get my scollarship anytime now. It's known to be late, but I will get it as late as March and then I will be able to afford the game. Still, I have no certain way ot getting a subscription. The solutions I have been offered were to send my letter using a bank, or re-routing the money to smo in another country and ask him to pay for me instead.

Both were unusefull so far, but still I thank the person who offered them (I forgot who it was). It's a start though. Keep'em comming.

You know I always wondered if, instead of sending money, a person could send someone something unique and interesting from where she or he is from and in exchange they would give you a gift subscription...
