Oh boy, I think I'm really going off the deep end here now on this. lol. I agree with another of my fellow detectives on here, I think I may be building my expectations up so high that I may be in for a fall. lol. Oh well, it is fun though. :0)

These hints I read about: Do you have to be subscribed to find them? And if not, is it as simple as asking all the town folk?

And the eggs: Again, is this only a "subbed" feature?

Eggs are not a subscribed only thing, they only come as gifts for favors.

The hints I would think are available to everyone, although Shangri-la like all the things outside of New York will only be available to subscribers.

The reasons to sub keep piling up.

You don't have to be subscribed to find hints in New York, and, as Ran said, eggs come as gifts for favours, but they have to be incredibly hard favours.
