...is it possible to add agency message boards to the home page
so one could check on agency messages without having to log in..

i wouldnt think so, because there would be no way to keep it private, which is part of the purpose of agency boards. not to mention how would the server know which agency's board to show you unless you signed in. I know as a director, i wouldnt want our boards open for public viewing. Im sure there are plenty other directors who feel the same way.

i just logged out and tried it. it doesnt work if youre logged out. probly for the reasons i stated above.

meaning: how would the server know which Agency HQ to direct you to without knowing what detective you are?

It doesnt work if it doesnt know who you are. It cant. If you dont tell the server who you are, how will it know which agency board to show? Look at the list of agengies. There is no way it could correctly generate your agency board without knowing your detective. Apparently your browser saves the info for a while and when you come back, it fills it in automatically. there is absolutely NO way it could do it without the information.
