for some reason, i don't think that i can get pm's. my pop-up blocker is off, but i don't know if my cookies are turned on, or how to if they aren't. can someone please help me?

Sometimes its not enough to turn the pop up blocker off. If you have a fire wall you might need to add sleuth to allowed sites list.
Try sending a PM to yourself and see if you get it.
Cookies are in internet options under tools in your brouwser.

ok...i'm pretty sure that the problem is with my norton antivirus thing. i read the other thread, and they mentioned this problem, but didn't say how to fix it.

Not having Norton myself I can only speculate. I would think that you can go into settings and set it to allow Sleuth to have full access (pop ups, cookies, etc).

yah...i think there is a way to do this too, and thank you R. Anstett, but is there anyone that has Norton that knows how to do it?

yup yup... Go into Norton's main panel. (Not sure which version you're using - I'm using 2006) then go into the Norton Protection Centre > then Web Browsing

and you'll see an option to turn on or off pop ups :)
