hi,

i just discovered that you can do those little quests for whatever faction you have a postive relationship with - answering the questions about mystery books. How often can you do those little quests? is it a once per day type thing, or random or what?

Also, I tried looking in the Newbie FAQ's for info on the Factions and it refers you by weblink to the Help section, but there I didn't see any info on the Factions either. Was I misreading it? Perhaps someone can direct me to the actual location of information on Factions and their role in gameplay that I am overlooking. Otherwise, I believe it should be added to the Help or Newbie FAQ's.

Thirdly, I've enjoyed reading the posts on the messages, but sometimes I am looking for specific information and am wondering if there is a search function or not? I notice occasionally on the boards that someone will post a reasonable question and the response will be that they should have read previous posts before asking, but quite frankly, with the set up of the board, the sometimes nondescript Subject lines, and its length, it could be an unreasonably daunting task without a search function. I'd feel silly if I have missed this function, otherwise I will continue to read the posts; it has been great bedtime reading material.

Thank you in advance for any responses. I find this board to be very helpful and friendly. And I'm sorry if I'm too verbose : ) Cheers and Happy Sleuthing!

Kitty - the newbie FAQ is just very old. We had only 3 factons back then and no "special" skills. The Welcome newbie thread is new and has more info. Someone is working now on making new better newbie FAQ, but it might take some time before its ready.
