But even before that I'd suggest you get hair analysis. Imagine a case with nothing but hairs on the crime scene... Brrrr...

Is your person tough, charming, or smart? Or is a combination?

Before you buy anything else, concentrate on the skills within your subtype. Although, I reccommend that everyone get lock picking and research.

There are a lot of these types of questions on the preceeding pages that would be worth a read.

But, I say Research. It gives u the most instantaneous advantage towards solving a case as it reduces the number of suspects (!without an alibi!) you have from your list by 1.

Also get your basic smarts ie Hair Analysis as you need to be able to find ALL the basic evidence at the crime scene. By 'basic' I mean without Hair Analysis you aren't finding any hairs at the moment. (Hand writing analysis and Foot print analysis are different in that you can find foot prints and notes automatically, those skills give you the option to find out extra stuff like whether the person was slim or heavy, left or right handed)

Then focus on Charming skills. Rule Bending, Intermediate ST & Flirting is good on suspects of the opposite sex and is cheap.

have heapsa fun :)

Without basic hair skill you wont find any hair in crime scene... So start with that.
After it depends on your type (charm/tough). There is some good advice in the welcome newbie thread and in the Mod's picks.
