i know who the murderer is but i cant accuse him because he has no motive.. what can i do?the person who was going to tell me about the movive has clammed... what can i do?

If no one will give you a motive...You have to quit the case. It's always better to ask the motive question first :)

Usually better to ask for motive first until you have a full list of suspects :)
