Writing a Feature Mystery is the only one of the "submitting content"-options that can earn a free subscription, the lenght of which depends on the quality of the FM. I know the term "quality" might sound a bit vague, but I think it might have a bit to do with how well it's written, how interesting it is as well as how well it plays the frame of what is possibly to do with these kinds of mysteries, and which type of level it turns out to be when scripted. Most of the available FMs vary a great deal from the regular cases which is also what makes them such a treat to play.
Unfortunately, there isn't an example-FM available to give you an idea of what can be done (the only way to get a look at one at the moment is by subscribing), but in the "Submitting Content"-section you can see sort of an outline of what is needed, and you are always welcome to ask lots more questions on the boards if there is something you want elaborated upon - could be some of those who've written one can give you a few tips :)
