Maria Driscall hasn't heard or seen anything suspicious.

Does this mean that she didn't commit the crime?
or
Does it mean that the hints that she gave are false, because she really didn't see anything?

I'm confused.

It means that Maria Driscall shouldn't be able to give you any additional information about the crime...For example she won't give you witness evidence against anyone if you ask her if she suspects so and so of committing the crime. It does not, however, say anything about her guilt or innocence.
