I was playing intermediate mode and I suspected my client, but none of the suspects would give me the 'motive' of my client, so I couldn't accuse him. Some of the suspects gave me motives for other suspects, but two or three suspects wouldn't talk further after I used 'interrogate' skill.... so I ended up quitting the case. What could I have done in that situation? and was that a bug in this game? Thanks!

Nothing. It's a good rule of thumb to ask for motives before alibis because of clamming, especially as you advance through the game.

As you gain exp, you'll be able to purchase skills such as interrogation and sweet talking. Those will help convince your suspects not to clam up quite so easily.

Oh, sorry, you already have interrogation - but anyway, you will be able purchase advanced versions of those skills later on.
