Advanced Hair analysis.

OK, here's the thing - I bought Advanced hair analysis. Now I start a case and find a hair and it isn't working! What's up with that?

if i was patient as cfm i'd trawl through this section and find a relevant thread[S]... but i'll just muddle through an answer off the top of me noggin...
even though you have adv. hair analysis it doesn't necessarily work everytime.
how often it works is technically dependent on your smarts skills. so the higher they are, the higher the chance any advanced smart skill like advanced hair analysis will actually work.
having said that, i've had advanced skills work with negative smarts, and [this is rare] not work with +20 smarts. the game likes to tease you occasionally.
as a rule though the more smarts you have the more chance adv. hair anlysis has of working.

It will not work everytime.
Without it you never know anything about the hair.
With it you will sometimes know Curly or Straight. If you are wearing gear that increases your Smart score it will help also.
Working with an agency will give you a chance to share equipment and wear a set of Smart gear to search your cases then switch to your Interview clothes for the rest of the case.
One more reason to subscribe.
