....would be nice if the entry page had a tick box to "remember" the
daily log in so that each time we left ( to go play chess ) we did not
have to re-enter the detective name and password and could just
click back into the site...

Nephi I use Firefox and it "remembers" my login name and password automatically. You can probably configure your browser settings to do the same.

I have IE and it remembers me....play around with your settings.

Windows can remember your passwords if you want. No matter which browser you have.
Or get avant brouwser and roboform, makes my life easier ;)
