Runs into City Hall in a robe and her cup of coffee after just waking up.

"Where's the party?"

Noticing that she is either too early or too late, she decides to throw her own party for the Queen of Avatars, Sleuth Chief Jester, Moderator, Sleuth Chat Supreme Emperor (ress) and All-Round Great Gal, Nikkie.

She puts up strings of Fairy Lights everywhere around Town Hall and in the canals that run around City Hall for this great occasion she places floating candles.

Putting up tables all around three sides of a great space for dancing, she leaves one side for a LONNNGGGG GREEAAATT bar where all of Sleuth's Finest Bartenders can play. She sets up a stage for entertainment and issues invites to all in Sleuth.

Happy Birthday Nikkie, Thanks for the invite, I only have time for a quick drink and then I will be on my way.
Oh I almost forgot, I stopped and bought you this card on the way from the Shoemaker, had to buy new shoes for this galla affair.
Then he notices Mkjrdallas doing the Birthday dance and decides to stay and join in!!

Having received the invite, but still a little blurry from the previous night, Doc roams the area for a while. He picks up the scent of alcohol and immediately sets off. A host of people stand between him and the bar. It appears there is a female shaman in the room, doing a rain dance dance. Upon closer inspection it turns out to be the Birthday Girl, surrounded by the other guests chanting to the rhythm of the clumps. Unable to move by the entrancing sounds of the dance, Doc watches in amazement. When it seems doubtful rain will break out, the dance comes to an end and the guests resume their conversations. Doc wishes the Birthday Girl lost more years of fun, happiness and good health and then chants a little blessing he learnt somewhere on his travels.
It seems like a grand party and since they have taken care to provide sufficient amounts of alcohol. Following his instincts, Doc drifts off for a beer or two, or more. Cheers everyone!!! And congratulations again Nikkie!!!

"Ah, I've made it just in time for the Toast!"

I almost dropped the heavy case of Dom Perignon I was carrying - I'm not as fit as I used to be!
"Hey Doc, Piper, come give me a hand here with the champagne please!"
Amid loud noise we open a few bottles, almost hitting Lady Emerald on the head with a popping cork!

"To many more successful cases, Nikki girl!"

Della enters the party on Cabs arm and sees it is in full swing. People are dancing, and having a great time. Cab is in his tux and Della is in the hunter green silk gown she got on her last trip to Shanghai.

Feet twitching to the music, she and Cab put Nikkie's present and card on the table and join the others dancing. She hollers across the dance floor, 'Nikkie! Happy Birthday!!!"

Enters the party which seems to be in full swing. It's been a long day and it's finally time to relax with friends and have a drink or two. Or more. Who knows? *grin*

Spying Nikkie out on the dance floor in her clogs, (is it clogs?), she hollers out a greeting. Also seeing one of her temporary partners accompanied by new spouse, she grins. It's about time those two got out and did something besides work. Keeping Priscilla close to her side, she made her way across the room to the bar.

Speaking to the bartender, she said, "Scotch and soda, please. And some milk for my cougar if you have it." The bartender didn't even blink an eye as he served up her drink and a bowl of milk for Prissy. '

She turned and watched the fun taking place all around her.

Breit and her new husband Dave entered the party carrying a large wrapped parcel and stopped in the entry long enough to get their bearings. Across the room they saw a table loaded down with presents and nearly floating off the floor with the balloons attached to it. She suspected that it would be floating across the room if it wasn't so laden.

On their way across the room she spotted Cab and Della dancing to the music and also spotted the birthday girl Herself. It appeared that everyone was having a really great time.

Setting the gift on the table, Breit headed for a table while Dave went to get them drinks. It looked like it was going to be an absolutely wonderful party.
