I was doing a Stupendous level mystery, and they are supposed to have 6 suspects. I had 9 in total and knew which 3 had real alibis. I got a piece of witness evidence for 1 of the others and accused him and it said he had an alibi! Now I've got 2 false acusations and its $14000 to clear them =(

Sorry to hear you got a false - it really stinks to get one of those.

But just for future reference Studendously Hard can have a total of either 9 OR 10, which means you can have either 3 OR 4 people with real alibis. So it looks like you really struck out there with that 4th real alibi between all the fake ones

Also, it's a good idea to check with the fortune teller to make sure you have all your suspects.

I asked the fortune teller and he said I had everybody.

I've had it happen. You can't trust that it'll always be the usual number of false or good alibis. It's not common, but it does happen that you'll get one like that. Since then I try to make sure I check ALL alibis. And Shady was definitely NOT sympathetic. *shudders*

Also remember your formula:

Liar/none + PE = guilty
Liar/none + WE = guilty
WE + WE = guilty

That is what you could have done differently. Once you had WE against someone try to find that second WE to confirm before accusing.

WE + clam DOES NOT equal guilty

Two great pieces of Newbie Advice, I like it!

This is very important...helps keep those FA's away.

I know the formulae, I just assumed that the number of suspects was constant and took it as a given with the number of true alibis, that the person I accused had a false one. I'll just have to double check first next time.
