Slice me open with a swift series of paper cuts to the midsection if I'm wrong about this but I do believe the Champions Leauge final is coming up.

I have a bit of a soft spot for Arsenal...love to see them win it. But *weeps like a schoolgirl who has lost her pencilcase* if I had money on it, it'd be on Barca. I'm having major loyalty issues though, as Thierry Henry and Ronaldinho are probably my two fave players.

(compassion please...remember, I live in Canada. Whatch'all think?

lol ok... so Ole Ole Ole Ole... the World Cup has started :) and minnows Australia beat whales Japan 3-1 woohoo. Ok lol it's likely to be the only game we win, with Croatia and Brazil in out group but hey I'll take the momentary vicarious glory.

And tonight we'll see the magic quartet Kaka-Ronaldinho-Adriano-Ronaldo in action!!!! When Brazil starts it's opening game, you know the World Cup really begins :)

Only 1-0 you say crunchpatty? Croatia has some very decent players and what a goalkeeper! It might not have been the best of games I've seen so far but both teams were a good match for eachother. Now up to Croatia-Australia...

mmm prob Ronaldo (MacDonaldo) I reckon CP. He looks like he's been into sumfin oily / greasy - possibly burgers, possibly just had whole side of cow deep fried. He's a great player, but man he was sleep walkin out there!

hmmm, maybe that's the Brazilian surprise-attack strategy...Ronaldo hides Ronaldinho in his gaping dental irregularity, then spits him goalward at a key moment, before limping back to the burger shack. Kinda like the trojan horse thing...but updated for today's cholesterol-wary audience!

Like chunky gravy through the IV drip...these are the days of our lives.

But enough about that. It's that time of year again. Screw all the world cup stuff, it vanished like Zidane's last three forehead hairs against Materazzi's chest.

AC Milan or Liverpool? A repeat of the drama of 2005 or a series of beer and car commercials interrupted by a bunch of jackholes kicking a ball back and forth to some guy who dressed the same that day? Will Gennaro Gatuso sprout new and exciting body hair configurations at halftime? Is Peter Crouch's postpubescent growth spurt finally over, or will he break both of his seven-pound legs leaning in for an ill-placed header and lie back on the pitch, grin, and think of England?

OH the drama!

My gut tells me Liverpool, but my brain says Milan.

*goes to a Hallmark card store to do some research on the science behind the whole 'gut v brain' battle*

Apparently though, I'm the 'world's best grandson', and I look a little like a teddy bear with one eye missing.
