...perhaps subscribers could have a different color for their
name so that when you go thru the boards a neon green name
refers to a subscriber....one would not then have to pull up the
detective page to see if they are so or not then...

LED, I understand what you mean...When you check the "Who's Logged In Page," obviously everyone on there must be "Active" because if they are logged on at that moment then they have logged on in the last 30 days (The requirement for being active) LOL.

It would make more sense for the label on that page to say something like Subbed or Unsubbed :)

How this works (as most people would program it)

When the database checks the Bio section of the detectives file and if that date there is older than 30 days (the actual number might be different) it puts the text of "inactive" there.

You log into your detective. The last log in date switches to today.

When the database populates the Who is Logged in Now list it simply inserts the text tag from the bio entry.

There for if you are 'inactive' because you have not logged in during the past 2 months, the moment you log in the tag changes to active.

There is no seperate field for the Who is Logged in Now, so therefor I agreed that the Entry in the Bio section should be used to tag Subscribed or Unsubbed rather than Active/Inactive.

When the Who is Logged in Now list is populate it will list everyone's status. When you look at the detectives Bio section it will show the date of last log in, if that is of concern to anyone.

It always allows people to decide what Active means to them. For some not logging on in two weeks is not active enough. Others only log on once a month.

I maintain that it is a good idea for a change, LED does not understand how the parts interact.

To make it as simple as possible.

All the information on the Who is Logged in Now page comes from the Detectives Bio page.

So? You totally missed the point dearie :D

It doesn't matter where it comes from, it's redundant having that info on that board.

As once logged on, they're active, doesn't matter how long they have been inactive :)

There was no point for all your comments.
Or mine for that matter :) Since, of course, you agree with me.

Good point LED although a bit sarcastic :P

If the info is taken from the detective page then there is no reason why the section about status wont be taken. Then we can see if someone is subbed.
