I was torn between posting this here or on the Newbie board but here goes...

When one submits intro content and is waiting for approval, is any feedback provided that the submission was reviewed and if not approved given the reason?

TIA
Barry

CFM our madame sleuth editor can give the definite answer. But I think if it is not approved for some reason, you will be contacted. I bet it is just either pending review or editing or upload by Ben.

Hi, Barry. I try to get a few new intros up a week. (I used to aim for daily, but that just isn't practical for me at the moment, and I found I was letting many small errors slip by by trying to force it.)

You can check the submitted content intro page to see the list of the most recently approved intros, and get an idea of if I'm getting close or not. ;) It looks like there are about 60 or so waiting before I get to yours.

If there are just a few typos, I'll usually just fix them. If I encounter a larger amount of errors, then I'll send you a PM and let you know what I need before I can approve it. If you are retired or inactive when I get there, and your intro would take a lot more than one or two corrections, it is usually rejected, but obviously, I wouldn't be able to let you know in that situation.

Hope that answers your question. :)

*still wants the word 'guilty' on his avatar's forehead*

pssh, no pressure...eventually i'll just carve it up there with a dull butter knife...but then again I am the impatientest of little buggers, lol.

is there a back log or did my intros get the "X"?

it's like they got skipped over. The numbering jumps. It's been a couple of months.

I know it's done by volunteers, so it gets done when they have time, just curious what's happening with the seqence.

thanks.

Defiently not a criticsm of the editors here but to say more have been added the feedback I am getting from fellow writers is there has been a huge slow down in response from the editors. Like Roberta I know you do it volontarily (least I assume you do) but things are seeming slower than they were a few months ago with more editors than before. Is there anything you guys can let us inon or is it just the summer months giving everyone more RL distractions?

I think everyone is very busy. Plus we now are editing the Scripted mysteries and correcting Intro typos reports.

Yes, the numbers jump. With more than one editor working on them, not everyone starts at the bottom of the list. I still do, but I don't have the time I used to to work on them. So, I don't know exactly how to direct you there.

Please be patient, you haven't been forgotten. We do volunteer our time. We do care, and we want these finished. There are just so many more of you that its difficult to keep up with all these submissions, even with more of us! :)
