So this has ALWAYS been a pet peeve of mine; since the beginning of my Sleuthing.

*NOTE: This is not as big of one as the waiter/waitress 'fiasco' was*

Take a look at Sleuth Admin's detective page, for example.

"Politics
Order o Socrates: Good(10)
Arcanum Brthrhd: Good(10)
Cosa Nostra: Poor(-3)
Eastern Triads: Good(10)
Circle of Light: Poor(-2)
Green Hand: Good(10) "

Notice that of is "o", not "of" in Order of Socrates
Notice that Brotherhood is shortened, and the word Dies is completely absent
"La" is missing in La Cosa Nostra
Isn't it "The" Green Hand, "The" Eastern Triads?

Now I know this was done because of margin widths, but can it not be fixed in any way? It's not only annoying, but also can be confusing as to what the factions are called. Perhaps they could even be shortened to just OS, LCN, DAB, GH, CoL, and ET? (Although that would be very confusing as well)

Just something that's always bothered me.

How about this when reading posts and you see:

I can understand that some things are inappropriate but why can't the whole post be eliminated??When I see:" This reply has been deleted by a Moderator" all that does is make me curious as to what has been deleted. Why not just delete it all instead of just leaving an avatar and This reply has been deleted by a Moderator??

My pet peeve is when I go to a faction and enter the "buy equipment" area. The only option is leave. I can't go back to the faction to ask about lost treasures or something else without going back to the map and then to the faction again.

Ichiban, I'm with you on that one like bacon with eggs. When I see that message, what I read is "Someone has done something stupid, but you don't get to know what it was...entertain your own damn self!" If Sleuth has taught us nothing else, it has taught us that the perfect crime scene is the traceless one, right?

Not unrelated: my (current) sleuth pet peeve is the fact that we don't get to prevew or edit our own posts. Yes...sometimes I get lazy and decide to try typing with my forehead instead of ny fingers...but I bet that would fix the ambiguous mod deletions and make people (by which I mean ME) look less stupid more often.

NonSleuth pet peeves are way too numerous to list so I'll just select one from the random irritances hat (drum roll) aaaaaand here we have it:

people with phony accents

(ugh sorry, the gates are open)

people who don't know how to spell the word 'Ciao'

drivers who don't signal that they want to turn left until after you are behind them at an intersection

pants (not to be confused with shorts...go shorts)

keyboard gangstas

the show 'everybody loves raymond'

the fact that 'everybody loves raymond' is ALWAYS ON! Daddy make it stop!

blatant false advertising

Tom Cruise

ascots

purse dogs

stickers on fruit

the fact that late every august I know I'm going to see commercials advertising school supplies in which the word 'school' is spelled with the 'S' backwards

jet skis

bad sushi

slow computers

and finally (yay I think I might be done for now)

Martha frickin Stewart. Go french braid your own grass sister...get off my lawn.

...

aaaaah *feels better*

*agrees with the Ciao thing*

I always see people spelling it: "Chow" or "Chao" or some weird spelling!
