So this has ALWAYS been a pet peeve of mine; since the beginning of my Sleuthing.

*NOTE: This is not as big of one as the waiter/waitress 'fiasco' was*


Take a look at Sleuth Admin's detective page, for example.

"Politics
Order o Socrates: Good(10)
Arcanum Brthrhd: Good(10)
Cosa Nostra: Poor(-3)
Eastern Triads: Good(10)
Circle of Light: Poor(-2)
Green Hand: Good(10) "

Notice that of is "o", not "of" in Order of Socrates
Notice that Brotherhood is shortened, and the word Dies is completely absent
"La" is missing in La Cosa Nostra
Isn't it "The" Green Hand, "The" Eastern Triads?


Now I know this was done because of margin widths, but can it not be fixed in any way? It's not only annoying, but also can be confusing as to what the factions are called. Perhaps they could even be shortened to just OS, LCN, DAB, GH, CoL, and ET? (Although that would be very confusing as well)



Just something that's always bothered me.

There was a cafe/bar/restaurant in Queenstown, NZ that banned babies and kids.
They got hauled before the UN under the Human Rights Act.
Um, ok.
Stupid PC Correct NZ.

Political Correctness and the fact that some people are allowed to say some words but others can't. How totally GAY is that?

jroepel i have resisted the urge to throw things at them many times. Although the things that were currently occupying my hands were not ideal objects to throw at someone (shears, clippers, hairdryers, and i can't forget the time with the HOT curling iron!)

Ugh! Demon children....

I actually know a couple who allow their 4 year old to run around at will at resturants. They don't try to stop even if he's screaming and out of site. Occasionally they may step in IF he actually touches or talks directly to someone.

*shakes her head*

I try to keep him at least in one spot and away from others when I happen to be out with them. Although, that of course makes people think that he's mine! Can you imagine what these kids are going to be like as teens?!

Okay, my pet peeve, people at convience stores that stand at the counter and talk...to the cashier, the person in line behind them, themselves...after they've paid. Come ON! Some of us are at the CONVIENCE store because we have things to get done and don't want to be in line for ages, like cases! ;)

Oh good grief...one more pet peeve..myself when I spell things like "sight" as "site" instead. I really do know the difference.
