when people say "...---- hasn't heard or seen anything suspicious.." does that mean they are more guilty or innocent of the crime?

you are right that is a very crazy ?. i realy have not thought about that! i figure my cases out without knowing that!!! and i would be very surprised if any one new! but with my luck someone will know something about it and i will feel so so stupid!!! :)

*sighs* It means just that: they haven't HEARD or SEEN anything suspicious therefore if you ask them if they've heard anything to make them suspect something they'll answer they haven't seen or heard anything suspicious.
