I have just beat 2 murders, and I got 2 points or something. What am I supposed to do with them? It says that I have to up my skills, but I don't know how to do that. Please help me!

If you go to your detective page, you can click on your skill points. A menu will pop up that says how many skills you can buy with your points. Click on "skill help" on that page and another menu will open with info on all the skills and how many points it takes to earn them.

There is a thread below called Welcome Newbies which you may find helpful.

K...Skill Points are what you use to add to the list of things your detective can do (e.g., interrogation, sweet talk, research, pick lock, etc.) and as you have learned you get them buy solving cases successfully.

To use you unspent points (which you probably won't be able to do just yet if you have just solved two cases) follow these instructions.

1. Click on the detective tab at the top of the window (next to case, map, etc.)

2. Notice the yellow number next to the title "Unspent Skill Points" (this is the number of skill points you currently have to buy new skills)...Click on the number

3. A window will come up that lists on the right side the skills you have and on the left (if available) any skills you can buy...If you wish to buy one of the options click on it and it will prompt you to say whether you really wnat to buy this item.

4. If you need a description of the skills click on the skill help button.
