You can't delete your detective, once u create it. If u dont want the one u have right now, just create a new one.

You can make 3 false accusations in a row, that will do it.

It also depends on why you want to delete the detective. There is no 'starting over' with the same name. If you get the 3 falses you are permanently retired.
If you want to start a new detective with a similar name it is just a question of being creative with the name.
