which do you consider is the best faction and which of the skills they can provide can help the most?

by the way, what is the use of having safe cracking?!?

Most of the faction skills are difficult to use unless subscribed. The two best skills to have as non subbed would be pick pocketing, which allows you to get paid with a guilty client, and hypnotism which saves questions by getting suspects out sooner. Safe cracking btw is useless unless subscribed and doing treasure hunts.

and by the way, what is the advantage of being the Philosopher Marshall, Father/Mother Inquisitor, Consigliere of those factions?!?

besides safe cracking which is only useful in [some?] treasure hunts... the rest is fairly subjective i would think, and people will chime in with their own faves :) I have Hypnotism [Order of Soc.] coz it works with my charming skills, and sometimes fill sout my supect list a little quicker. I'll prob try and get Underworld Connections [Eastern Triads] for finding that missing suspect next. I see you're smart and charming. And tough skill is going to take longer to get, so I'd say work towards gaining favour with a faction that caters to your archetype. :)

The age old question... besides the prestige? There is a little perk. But it's a well kept sleuth secret. Even the people who think its silly to keep it, keep it :) The only answer is to strive towards becoming top dog in a faction and find out for yourself :)
