How do I know when I won't get paid for a certain level anymore?

How do I know if I won't get paid for solving a case on certain levels? I know that after a couple of cases are solved in each difficulty level, that level won't show up anymore. But I would like to know how to tell if I won't get paid for solving a case. Will I just solve the case and it will basically say, "Sorry, you've already solved so-and-so amount of cases on this level, you will not get paid"?

I'm sorry if this question has all ready been posted; but I don't really want to search the message boards for it.
Thanks! ;)

The only time you don't get paid for solving a case is when your client turns out to be guilty. You can circumvent this by getting the pickpocketing skill from the Dies Arcanum Brotherhood.

Yeah, but you'd be better off collecting decent interview and smart skills first, as frustrating as losing a buck from a louse of a client is.

And the only level that closes up is the beginner level.
