What does interrogation do for you? I thought it was the skill used to 'intimidate' uncooperative witnesses but I was wrong.

Also, what skill level are favor cases? Or are they matched to your detective.

And, where's the info on writing mysteries? Can't seem to find it alas. Or is that a subscribe only privlidge?

And, I saw somewhere folks talking about being able to submit a photo for your avetar besides the defaults. Was I hallucinating?

I can't help you with the first two, but here is the link for submitting mystery introductions and avatar pictures:

You close.

There in Intimidation and Interrogation. One is used on Suspects, one is used on Townies. Both have various levels you can get better in.

Favors are matched to how many favors you have done. As you work your favors, you will get a harder levels of them the more you do. They do eventually top out at Incredibly Hard level.

Thanks -

And, is there a penalty for quitting cases?

Not as far as I know, but it takes up one of your quiz count, and you get no reward.
The interrogation skill works only on suspects. You cannot use it on townies or shop-keepers, but you can use intimidation on them. Similarly, townies can be persuaded by rule-bending, and suspects by sweet talking. Sweet talking power with the opposite gender is enhanced by the flirting skill.

Sorry if I'm misinterpreting the question, but yeah, there is hella penalty for quitting cases! If you quit three, your profile is killed off and you can't play as it anymore. For people reading this who are new to the game (go sudden influx), if you have false accusations, I'd advise you to visit the shady character in the bar and clear them up. The price of a clean record rises according to your experience and gets way more expensive the longer you hang out here. Better to do it now, and stick to the formula:

real alibi= not guilty. DO NOT accuse.
none/fake alibi + witness evidence = guilty
none/fake alibi + physical evidence = guilty
2 witness evidence= guilty

as safe as nine condoms, but without all the latex.

lol my turn, just to clear sumfin' up. I think CP has the wrong end of the stick. Quit as many cases as you like Ray. That's what the quit case option is there for. Better to quit than have a false accusation. It doesn't do anthing except add to your stats on your detective page. (lol read the 'how many cases have you quit thread'.) I think CP is confusing quit with fasle accusations :) but yeah, 3 falses and it's KA-BOOM.

False accusations can result from many things, including not paying attention whenlistening to the Arctic Monkeys whilst playing imaginary drums, and hitting the keyboard, and yeah well...
