Cou cou sleuths, introducing Emmeline Bogart. I only joined this afternoon, via the HerInteractive link, and have just started my first non-tutorial case (though I missed the intro page due to my computer's tempestuous temperament and am thus a bit confused).

I like the character role-playing spin I see around here and would like to write Emmy a biography but it might involve some time period-centric stuff. I didn't see this stated anywhere specifically, but I get a 20 to 40s feel from this place and was wondering if there has been a decade or era setting established.

Also, I'm a bit worried about this false accusation retirement deal, and the fact that my detective is quite nude save for a killer pair of old saddley heels....

Hi, Emmy! The time period is the 30's. And yes the role playing is very fun. Omega does a lot of it and currently has a really great storyline going.

You will get gear, (clothing & equipment) as you do favors. You'll have the option to keep it or sell it. Or you can subscribe and join an agency like Omega and we'll outfit you.

:) 1920's - 1940's is right. I think that's as specific as it's gotten. [somebody correct me... I'm going off the instructions in the Create Intro section]...

You can un-nude yourself in one of three ways... One: buy stuff from the detective shop [magnifying glass on city map] .

TWO when u solve three cases correctly you can go to a townsperson and do a favour. If you successfully do the favour (as well as 'maybe' getting that person as a contact) you will receive an item of clothing / accessory (they are usually better than what you can get at the detetctive shop so most people say dont worry too much about the detective shop ).

THREE you can buy items from faction bosses. Thtas prob your last port of call right now being new.

Read back through this section, or got to the Mod Picks section... there's lots of helpful advice for budding detectives :) you lear heaps form readinf past posts etc

Merci beaucoup!

I've spent a bit of time going through old threads and indeed it helps a lot. I'm considering subscribing, mayhaps prematurely, to the game though for the money I'll need to ensure that I've got enough time to while away sharpening my brain off in detective noir land.

From Ben's own "mouth". :) The sixth point for writing an intro states...

"The game is supposed to be set sometime between 1920-1940."

Sorry to come across as a bit stupid, but where exactly can I find these six points? (Some sleuth I am.)

Emmeline it is under the submitting content to Sleuth link.

You have to follow the link to actually submit an intro:
