The fortune teller gave me a case with only one suspect. I interviewed the supect and asked him his alibi, but when I asked who he thought had a motive he clammed up and wouldn't cave in. Am I stuck or is there something I could do? I aslo couldn't test his alibi since the barber clammed up as well after I asked about a peice of hair I found. Should I accuse the one suspect or quit?

You can ask the townies what they know about the case and someone will tell you another name. And don't accuse until you have all the suspects (in easy cases there are 5-6) and you are 100% sure that the suspect is guilty. If you make 3 false accusations, your detective will be retired.

It is good practice to ask for Motive first, then to ask for alibis.

You need to ask for motive to find other suspects.
