This is my first case.
I have no clue what to do next!! No one will tell me anything else and I've pretty much visited all the places on the map. Somebody help me!! I have no clue what to do!!

First you visit your suspects and ask for motive to find additional suspects.

Then you can ask for alibis from each.

Compare the PE (Physical Evidence) you found at the scene with the characteristics of your suspects.

Check with the townies if the alibi the person gave you is a lie.

If you can not find the guilty person with PE you will have to ask for WE (Witness Evidence).

The simple formula is:

Liar/none + PE = guilty
Liar/none + WE = guilty
WE + WE = guilty

If you can not positively indentify the guilty person this way then you have to quit the case and start a new one.

Before you sent me that message I just guessed at who was gulty and believe or not, I was right. Thanks for your formula/tips now I know how to solve future cases.

Becareful of guessing. 3 False Accusations and your detective will be retired.

Liar/none + WE = guilty
This may sound really dumb, but what exactly is witness evidence?

When a suspect says, I saw someone wearing the victim's watch or trying to escape the crime scene. You get WE you ask the suspect if you saw any reason to Suspect someone else.

To compliment that idea.

When you talk to the townies there is the question if they know anything about the case.

They will sometimes give you a suspects name and say that they know or do not know something.

If they say the person does not know anything then you can avoid asking them questions they know nothing.

If they say the person does know who it is you know they can give you WE.

WE can be misleading. You can NOT accuse only on WE or on WE + PE you will still need to verify the alibi.

Every case has three WE possiblities. 2 point to the murderer and 1 points to an innocent person.

By solving cases, you'll get skill points. After you have several skill points. Go to the DETECTIVE area and there click on the number of UNSPENT skill points. It will give you what you can afford with your number of skill points.
