no motive

I'm a newbie, just had a case where I had physical evidence to pinpoint suspect but couldn't accuse him because no motive, is there anyway around this? Everyone was just clamming up I had to quit in the end.

You did what you could.

Always ask for motive first, then alibis to ensure that you get all your suspects as well as a motive for each one.

Sometimes it just doesn't happen that you can get a motive on everyone if you do not have the skills to unclam a suspect.

of course if you subscribe you can join an agency and get other detectives to help you unclam them
