It's Justin's footprint found at the crime scene but Harry was seen leaving the crime scene and disposing of the weapon. Who did it?

If someone has a true alibi they're not guilty, ever, as far as I know. Alibis are much more important than evidence.

Justin's alibi is TRUE he is innocent, regardless of footprints, threads, hair or any eye witness. FAKE alibi and any of the above gulity which is Harry, [fake and eye witness].

If you only have evidence on those two, and you're playing Easy, and one's alibi is true, then the other would most likely be the murderer. But make sure there's no other evidence.
Once you get the research skill, all you need is one piece of evidence (physical OR witness) and a fake alibi that isn't cleared by research.

gosens, what you say does not depend on getting the research skill.
Anyone with (a) a fake alibi and (b) either physical or witness evidence (just one piece), is always the guilty person.
It logically follows that nobody who comes up in research will ever have any evidence against them.
