No other suspects

I have 2 suspects with fake alibis and 2 pieces of physical evidence (bloody foot print and a note). Neither piece of evidence fits with either of these suspects.
I realize that I am missing suspects. But when I go to the only person left who can tell me of new suspects she clams up and I am not given any options to sweet talk her, interrogate her, bribe her, etc.
I have been to everyone else in the game and I am at a stand still.
Is there anything else I can do or do I just quit the case? It's pointless to make a guess as I know neither of these people are the ones who commited the crime.

There is one way out. Go to the townies who don't analyse evidence and ask if they have heard anything about the case. They may give you name of the suspect that you haven't found yet.
Unfortunately, if they don't, you will have to quit the case. If you were with an agency (and subscribed), you could file the case and allow members of the agency to look at the case. With each new detective that looks at the case there is a chance that they will be able to get another chance to unclam the suspects.

One small point to add to Sam's comments.
I do believe that the possiblity of unclamming a suspect by a new detective opening a case will only happen the first two times it is opened. After that no more suspects will unclam.

Unclamming only happens the FIRST time a case is picked up by a NEW detective.
So...if you pick up a new case from another detective that hasn't been started, you won't be able to unclam it later.

In the case you mentioned above its also possible you mis PE. Hair and thread can not be found without the basic smart skills.
But if you tryed everything just quit! There will be more cases.
