Can you Haiku?
Etymology: Japanese
: an unrhymed verse form of Japanese origin having three lines containing usually 5, 7, and 5 syllables respectively

Maddie got a gun
"bang bang" shot him in the head
woke up, just a dream

Yes, I love coffee
I simply adore coffee
Coffee is for me!

Obviously, poetry ISN'T for me.

I cannot believe
Chausettes' Haiku was about
Coffee, not muffins.

Hike me? No, hike YOU!
Muffins are topless cupcakes
Smartie nipples hurt

Little frozen toes
Feel like winter's icicles
Damn, it's cold in here!

Boredom tiptoes in
On little squirrel tootsies
The boards go quiet.

Like too much champagne
Haiku can make anything
sound rather profound.

I get no kick from
champagne, but I do get a
kick from a haiku.

I'm lying about
the champagne, by the way, but
not about haikus.
