A request for soemthing here that others may like also.

I would like to be able to mark agency threads as public or private.

Private ones would only be able to be viewed by agency members.

Public threads by the Sleuth Community overall.

I know that some agencies would have very little public, but I am sure that would enjoy reading over some of the roleplaying that goes on in the other agencies.

I believe most other agencies don't have more members than their HQ (and agency message board) can accommodate. :)

Nice jab, why does everyone keep crying about that? :)

sorry for that, I will just stay away from the message boards since Im rather disgusted at the big fuss thats going on around here and the remarks and sarcastic jabs about a wonderful agency. I dont want to argue with those I consider friends, and I know Ive put myself out there to allow it to go on but when I feel strongly about something, I cant keep quiet but now...I will. If you cant say anything nice, dont say it all, and I am going to try and practice that right now...*walks away from public message boards*

Yes, it was a jab. Perhaps uncalled for, as I could have made my point without resorting to that. I have nothing against Mojo, or the folks in it. My issues are with the way Mojo are doing things and the negative effects it could have on the game/community. And, as people have already said, public agency threads could aid this.

I'd like to make a little comment, seeing as I co-own the agency.

If you wanna jab, take it up with us privately. Mojo isn't the bad guy, and we don't ever want to be. So if you wish to discuss/slander the way we play the game, PM us. We have no problem with discussing how we work or debating our ideas.

Just because you wish you take a public jab at us doesn't mean we won't defend ourselves or our ideas.

Probably going to repeat what has already been mentioned but oh well.
I can see how it could be fun to see what goes on elsewhere also as a way to open up the greater community feeling - agencies can sometimes feel like secluded bubbles floating around without interacting with anything besides what goes on inside them.

However, I'm not sure public access to certain threads is the best way to enhance the overall community feeling - especially not if it's not possible to reply to them. You just become some looking in through a window or at a play, maybe thinking "Oh, that sounds like so much fun, I wish I could be part of that". Like that the main object of the thread being made public seems to become for the purpose of recruiting - and there is already a board for that where those recruiting can be as imaginative as they want.

As for the roleplaying aspect and extending that to the overall community, why not take that to the Gumshoe Lounge? There have been several hilarious threads there through the "past" with just that in mind which have contributed to lots of fun and bonding across agency boarders :)

Taking Greyling up on that idea I started a new thread in Gumshoe for my office. I encourage anyone who wants to visit in character to do so. It is public so that anyone can stop by, not just those in Mojo.

Lets see if working and playing together between agencies is a good or a bad thing.

I may be old, I may be grey but I still enjoy the occasionly sherry between cases and cyrus always gives me one on the house, he says I have good legs for an old duck. So my fine young man I my self have to decline your invitation I will be swiging down a few in between discussing my lastest case at the bar and finishing that kniting I started fifteen years ago. ...knit one pearl one ...oops lost a stich.... "thankyou Cyrus yes I will have another"

Hehehhe, Mr. Anstett, nice try - could I just suggest that maybe a more neutral meeting ground (say The Tricky Mister, Sami's, The Clock(?) and Owl, Ben & Sunny's front lawn) might have appeared more appealing and inviting to a greater number of people perhaps - at least to start off with ;)

*goes off contemplating a new design for an agency banner add* :P

I will be glad to partipate in such a thread.

In sleuth chat I rarely go to the tricky mister, bars are not my style. I tend to stay in the basement, people can choose to visit there or not rather than the random jump in and out of the bar.
