The time is here to start invitations to Mojo Enterprises.

http://www.geocities.com/sleuth.mojo/home.html

This is a group effort by several detectives to create a fun, helpful and competitive enviroment for people to participate in.

We welcome you to look over our guidelines, our code of conduct and mission statement.

To show that we want to help everyone we are also posting for the first ime in public some (not all ;) ) of Mojo's hunting guidelines.

Here's a few food for thoughts.

1. To cfm's idea of only having 2 detectives per IP:

If I have a brother *chuckle* and a sister, that we all can't play?

As well, we can just get 20+ people.

2. I don't want to fully explain or discuss our strategies and such, but we are expanding into this. We aren't like this. So when you say, "How could you be doing such a thing," realize you are condemning us for something that hasn't been done.

I think Mojo and all of us there have no problem discussing your or our opinions. We are open to discussion, and we are not trying to kill the Sleuth competitivity. We are, if anything, doing the opposite. Agencies are families; friends. We are simply trying to bring even more into our family and our success.

I actually like the idea of being able to have 3 or 4 detectives, I wanted to subscribe with all of my detectives and have nothing but my detectives in my agency, that way no one will argue with my decisions and I don't have to worry about one of my agents running off with expencive equipment.

I think if people want to pay to have more than one detective that's great, it helps pay for the game.

More to cfm's suggestion for a limit of 2 detectives per IP address:

Yeah, it's a reasonable suggestion, but I don't like the fact that if a detective retires in the agency (and if it's yours), will the limit come into effect? I know plenty of people who create and subscribe for the purpose of agency work. And, like Jojo has stated, siblings may share your computer and IP, so what then? If they want to be a part of your agency...? There are huge loopholes in that suggestion, and I don't think it could work.

I have nothing against Mojo, I know they are trying to make the game more enjoyable. The tactic makes me smile, makes me sit back in my chair, and makes me say "What next?" And that's just that... what next?

I'll miss this thread if it gets deleted. All that time and effort is taken to reach a consensus for this debate. Anyway, just adding to the newer responses. I hope this will get somewhere soon... :)

*quick note for peter*

You can only have 2 detectives of your own per agency.

I think only time will tell if anything Mojo is doing will really effect the game. It does appear that the union of multiple agencies has its advantages, but is that really true? The logic is there that makes it seem so, but it has not been proven. They can not bring their favors with them to the new agency and not being able to rejoin an agency for 48 hours also really cuts into the advantage. I personally think our “little” agency will enjoy competing with a “superpower.” We have been neck and neck with them for quite sometime and plan on continuing to be a “horn in their side!”

Will it effect the sleuth community? Also yet to be seen. I feel that we all, including Mojo, hope it doesn’t.

How rotating in a detective can help is similar to what peter said, except when you enter the agency you can not be holding any favors.

It is not cheating to bring in a detective into the agency use up their cases chasing a favor and then kick them out. Ben has flatly declared it is not cheating in previous posts.

I want to say also that I personaly really appreciate Eye Spy being there, forcing us to keep on our toes. I look forward to the day when it is the two of us neck and neck for #1 & #2. I have never had a problem with any detective from their agency and have never felt that they had a problem with us.

One more point on why I do not think this will be the game breaker that others think it will be.

How much work is it to run an agency with 12 real people. Now consider that we are already running 4 agencies with 20+ people are are recruiting more. If I have to put in the work to coordination and training assistance I can not do my cases. It takes a big committment and a lot of organization to make it work smoothly.

Oh and Shanty, I do have my "what's next" on the back burner for a couple of months till things resettle after this.

I do think that there will be some rule changes to help rebalance things. Perhaps a restriction on PW sharing or on detectives entering an agency in the middle of a hunt. Both have plusses and minuses.

I am told that this is the third time this debate has come up, so I am sure that there will be all sorts of older ideas to resurface as well.

I am a little confused on one issue. I thought there was a rule that if a detective quits an agency, he/she could not join a new agency for one day. Is this rule no longer in force?

Hmm...maybe I should start checking the older threads, I am so confused after reading this one.

"Are you really trying to say that the detectives at Mojo should not be allowed to hunt becasue we are too good?"

Is this how you view yourselves? Do you think you are too good because you have thought of a way to further the name of Mojo by inviting and resigning members of many agencies that you created in the other cities just to gain their skills and contacts for the hunts?

Somehow I think not. Cheating comes to my mind, not strategy.
Mojo enterprises? Shouldn't you have an Inc after that? Because it sounds more like a corporation than just an agency. We strive for our favors and cases and if we don't get them we hold, win or lose hunts. Its all part of the game right? But it seems Mojo takes the easy approach and just brings in what it needs at that moment to further ONE name right?

I'm sorry I am bringing this up but this is recent news to me. I had no idea that is what you were doing. I was under the false impression that there were many different agencies and they were all independently doing well on their own. If I am wrong in any of this please explain it to me.

Moonlighting is only that - a single agency with a great group of individuals. We stay in one agency and don't swap out. And look how far we have gone in the scoring! I say we definitely keep the high score tables. I like to see how well we are doing in relation to others. We might have just recently started but we will get up there in the high ranks soon. I am very proud of our agency and the work they've accomplished.

I wholly agree with Lady Emerald Devon. You do seem borg like and I or my agents will not be assimilated. *small chuckle* sorry I had to put that in there. I do love to roleplay too. That is why I have my own ezboard. But we have our own fun in our private message boards and we don't need others to come and see what we are up to or how we keep our agency fresh and fun.

And we don't need alliances either. I think we are all doing fine just the way we are. If that is how mojo plays well- thats how you like to win your hunts I guess. We will stick with our own strategy and may very well become Number 1 at the high score tables; some year. I'll have to check with the fortune teller on that one.

And I am not attacking you or any mojos exactly. Just stating my opinion that what your company is doing - just doesn't seem right or very competitive.
