http://www.geocities.com/sleuth.mojo/home.html

This is a group effort by several detectives to create a fun, helpful and competitive enviroment for people to participate in.

We welcome you to look over our guidelines, our code of conduct and mission statement.

To show that we want to help everyone we are also posting for the first ime in public some (not all ;) ) of Mojo's hunting guidelines.

I don't think Mojos was saying they are the only agencies that help (unless you read something I didn't) BUT Im done with this subject. This is something that could keep going on and on and on, and in the end, be right back where it started from. Which is disagreement. Agree to disagree

Sadly agreeing to disagree is not so much a solution. Nor is trying to close off a discussion, because mojo doesn't like to have discussion against something they do. I can understand this is uncomfortable to hear, and you want this thread to be over.

Agreeing to disagree also means, keeping things the way they are now, keeps this process and train rolling, and accepting that a lot of people disagree with this process or practice. Considering there are people posting from different agencies against this, it's even already a majority. I am really wondering why it is worth it, to upset so many people. If you want to continue the way that you do, then you should do so, then do accept that you are doing something a lot of people don't find of benefit to the community and feel you are ruining their good time.

I think Jstkdn has summed it up quite nicely.

I am going to break my word here and speak up then go back to being quiet for the rest of the day on this thread. I will respond to everything else later on but have one point to make. This thread is not over for me yet, and there are several other ones in the sleuth chat area I am very interested in also.

I am not proposing to change anything here with this. I am not uncomfortable with this at all.

This is all out in the open for disussion because I wanted it discussed. You do not have to agree or disagree with me, with any member of Mojo or the rest of the sleuth community.

This process will continue you are correct JST. I have proposed several rule changes to help keep balance.

I will continue along this path. The genie is out of the bottle now, just because some people do not like the direction does not mean it will not happen.

There is one person here who can make changes in the rule set to rebalance things. I am sure he will read over all of this, and listen to those who make reasonable requests. Obviously he did make changes not too long ago when people complained about importing favors. This is another circumstance where he will have to step in and make a statement about what the new rules will be.

Well hey majority rules right? *claps hands * I dont mind hearing opinions different than my own, and if u feel im "ruining your good time* consider me gone from the community. Wouldnt want to be a spoiler. Atleast in the public community. This is a pathetic and boils down to jealousy. Goodbye!

I don't think it boils down to jealousy. I think people are afraid that the spirit of the game may be ruined through alliances. It isn't all to do with hunts- wich other agencies are doing quite well in.

I think the anti side of alliances is that you create more divisions and there is more chance for people to feel left out or excluded.

I have played games where more and more people stopped playing because it was a horrible atmosphere due to alliances and the like.

I think of people see this as blowing up and destroying a community they love.

I am fully supportive of Mojos and not jealous. I was happy for you all when you got your 100th.

I do think that the agency is great and supportive in helping everyone.
I just don't see why there needs to be alliances.

My concerns are not about hunts or treasures.

I am sorry I started this and have made you angry but I also feel like I just said what some others had been thinking and feeling.

Ok, I still don't understand how you can have four different agencies. I could leave #1 With A Gunn and go start #2 With A Gunn in London, #3 With A Gunn in Delhi and so on and call it Peter Gunn Inc., but still, aren't those completely seperate agencies? There's no way to share equipment without someone resigning and traveling to a another city. There's no way to visit between agencies without resigning from one. If the Shire solves a hunt it shows on the hunts page as solved by the Shire, not by MoJo.

As for the rest of this discussion, I think it really goes against the idea's of the game as it was set up by Ben. Think about it, the most people any building can hold is 12. If Ben had wanted agencies to grow huge then you could rent an old sports stadium that holds 500. Also, when you travel, you don't have access to any but the most basic agency services, I think Ben did it that way for a reason. If he had wanted agencies to be able to expand to other cities I'm sure he would have put a link someplace that says "Click here to open a 2nd agency office in this city".

I think the whole idea was for people to be able to play and enjoy the game without feeling like they HAD to join an agency, and the treasure hunts were just an added extra to give the agencies a team something to work on. The main part of the game (as I see it) has always been the cases. Yet most people in agencies are whipping through easy cases to get to the favors for the hunts.

The only reason I wanted to join an agency was to have a place to store equipment and cases that I didn't have time to get to. I took on one guy because he really really wanted to join, he invited someone else then he left LOL So, I'm perfectly ok with only having a 2 person agency, and if my other agent wants to leave that's fine, I doubt I'll be looking for anyone else. And I really don't think I'll be expanding to all four cities.

Is it pathetic to worry about whether Mojo Enterprises will damage the community? If I were jealous of Mojo, wouldn't I be the first to come knocking on your door? I simply don't think that dismissing legitimate concerns as pathetic jealousy is a valid argument. If people don't want to be part of the discussion, that's fine, but please do not misread my motives or my intentions. I love this game. I want to be a part of the Sleuthing community. And I am worried that the community I have grown to respect and enjoy will disintegrate before my eyes. It'll be like Survivor: Sleuth Island--join an alliance, or be voted off to the sidelines.

See....I dont see how you people think Mojos is ruining anything! How is having a balanced way of hunting any competition? Its who works the hardest and puts the effort in, that wins it. Mojos doesnt win all the hunts so, why worry about ruining the community??

I love this game too or I wouldnt have been here as long as what I have, and I think its terrible that all this is going on. The anger, etc....

Arab, again, I was not dismissing concernes. So since you didnt get it, I will spellit out for ya, when I said to agree to disagree,I meant myself and from all you who jumped on the bandwagon of how unfair some things are, and the disagreeing between myself and others. THAT'S what I meant!

I've always been a respectful member of this community,l and Ive never caused any problems here and because Im strongly against all the whining about Mojos, I'm suddenly ruining the fun? Ok :)

To say Mojos is damaging the community is absurd..when there are other agencies out there, that ALSO have more than one agency...but people want to bash Mojos for doing it? Gee, if it's not fair for Mojos, why is it fair for others?

You win hunts by working hard and putting in the effort. No matter how many you have in an agency.

However, whatever changes that take place, so be it. Mojos will still work hard and be successful,no matter what.

I apologize to anyone who I may have offended by my comments but I dont apologize for what I think on this.

and by my comment, "Mojos will still work hard and be successful" , I didnt mean to imply that Mojos is better than anyone because there are wonderful agencies out there, that do work hard, and put great effort in. I'm not into "pi**ing contests" because thats exactly what it becomes when someone acts like that. Believe it or not, I am more adult than that. Just wanted to clarify that, in case someone wants to attack me on that comment ;)
