We are currently looking for detectives for spaces in both Mojo and the Shire.

Belonging to one agency will give you the benfits of all agencies.

Mojo is in London, the Shire is in Delhi.

We do rotate our detectives through different agenices as the need for skills, factions and hunts requires.

If you are interested in one of these posistions please contact my self or our other Recruiting Officer NastyOne in the Shire.

If you are a new detective we welcome you and will help with you learn the ropes. If you are an experienced detective looking for a change you are welcome as well. If you are already part of an agency, please contact your director first before asking to join Mojo Enterprises.

We are certain you will find your experience with us a pleasent one.

Shanty we are taking individual detectives only at this point. We are not looking to expand to more than one agency in a city yet till we are sure we have the people in place to help train those who join.

If you are interested in coming over your self we should talk in private about that.

Mojo Enterprises

"An alliance of agencies formed to help train new detectives and foster a spirit of friendly competition in Sleuth. All the agencies that are part of Mojo Enterprises pledge to work together to help advance the goals of the alliance and to add to the overall community of Sleuth. "

I think this is wrong. I think agency co-operation is good and I think that has happened, is happening and will continue to happen.

But I think this is changing the game into something it's not. I think that there are plently of games on the internet with alliances ect. I recommend you try Utopia. Which I left because it was a horrible community to be part of.

I think this actually potencial to destroy the the communtiy spirit as I have mentioned in person to particular people before.
I think it's unfair to the spirit of the game and is not agency co-operaration as such, more like the 'Borg trying to take over the universe.

I need to think about what I want to say and how I really feel about this.
However I fully agree what is said above. Even though I haven't quite sorted out what I think about this, my reaction is that this is going to be very bad for the community. I can already see right now, that it is. Before long everybody non-mojo will not only stop hunting, but also feeling part of a community unless they are in an alliance. Which judging from the above is also exclusive.

Mojo.....shame on you guys. Stop killing the community and our fun.

How does this kill the community?

Someone show me one thing that I, Detective R Anstett, Director at Mojo has ever done to intentionally hurt the sleuth community. How have I ever directly interfered in someone's enjoyment of the game?

You are saying that I should have continued to recruit and build up the agencies in private without saying anything on the boards? That I am not allowed to find new people and help them learn to play this game? Ask any detective in our agency. No one has ever been told what to do. We give good advice, we help each other out and have made (at least I thought we did) some great friendships.

On the point of Mojo stopping others from hunting. We have developed some good strategies to solving those. We shared some of them already with the public. I have not seen that from ANYONE else. Let the new agencies flounder around, it only helps out you? Maybe Mojo should stop hunting because it is the only fair thing to do?

Are you really trying to say that the detectives at Mojo should not be allowed to hunt becasue we are too good?

We did not create this group of agencies to exclude anyone. I do think that it is unfair to any new detective to join an agency that claims to be supportive and helpful and then find out that it is not what they thought it was. We do want other agencies to work together with us.

This post is meant to be very direct and answer these questions upfront. I am not trying to cause disention or rifts. I do not want this to be an "us versus them" where the other side is the bad guys. I want this to be fun and competive.

I had thought I showed in my actions as well as my words that I try to be a responsible member of the community.

"We shared some of them already with the public. I have not seen that from ANYONE else. Let the new agencies flounder around, it only helps out you? "

Maybe that is because other agencies don't need the validation from the community as a whole when they help others out. And other agencies have and do and always will hewlp other new agencies out, I think that was a pretty misinformed and slightly arrogant statement.
And as for the info, it's pretty well known and discussed Ran :)

My point I have discussed with you many times.
I have played online games where the sense of community and spirit was ruined by "alliances" and the like.

I am merelyposting my concerns, as I'd hate Sleuth to become an online game divided by "alliances".

I didn't mean to offend you at all or Mojos. I know they are an efficent, highly organized agency that work damn hard and need to be recognized for that.

And you also stated: "We do want other agencies to work together with us. "
and: "We did not create this group of agencies to exclude anyone."
You ahve already turned down aone agency who asked to be part of this.

Like I said I need to think about this.
I kindly would like to ask that words are not put in my (or Emeralds) mouth before I do. You are asking me a series of questions in order to clarify if I said that or not. Obviously if you read my post I am not saying that at all, nor can it be interpreted as such.

Creating communities within communities can, and likely will, hurt the game, and it seems to me that is what is happening.
And having an overwhelming advantage in hunts by creating alliances like this isn't competitive. It makes the game less fun for everyone else. You'd be forcing others to make similar alliances, thus upsetting the balance of the game, and causing unecessary divisions in the community.

It's not in the spirit of the game.

As a director of a new agency, all I can think of is why would anyone want to join our little agency when they can get in with the Awesome Power of the Mojo Syndicate? I'm being facetious there, but you know what I mean. I am concerned that in order to remain competetive and attract quality people, we'll have to either be assimilated by Mojo or make/join some other alliance--which is not what I signed up for. If it comes to that I'd just leave the agency altogether and operate on my own, I guess. I hate to think about that because we have worked really hard on our little agency, and would really like to do well. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out
