Ok I'm really new! lol One thing I keep running into is suspects that clam up, then I'm stuck. Most I just quit, but others I breeze through.

Am I missing something to get them to talk?

Yes good plan to take lots of notes.

The skill mix you are using is not the most effective, but you can make it work for you. You are using Interogation (tough side) and rule bending (charm side). I would recomend concentrating on only the charm side (sweet talking and rule bending) or only the tough side till you have aquired all of those. True your arch type is Tough/Charming, but I find that having Advanced Interrogation is better than basic Interrogation and basic Rule bending.

As to the method of solving the common way is what you describe.

Find all your suspects (ask for motive)
Then ask for Alibi
Then check PE or Alibi with the townie.

I tend to do the PE contact work, then all the WE work with the townies next, then do the rest of the PE evidence. It is not the fastest way of solving, but I can be interupted on a case and know where I left off that way.

Lastly, helping new people learn is one of the things some agencies like to do. We like to think at Mojo that we are fairly good at helping new people learn soem tecniques, help with cases and sharing gear to let you be the best you can be.

If not us, I am sure there are other agencies that would be glad to take you in and help show the ropes.

Charly, like I said in another post, I've managed to help someone solve a case with over 50-fold my xp. So you'll be more than welcome at our agency. Because I'm an agressive recuiter I''m just going to send you an invite straight off and you can choose to accept or decline as you wish. If you join an agency then you work on interrogation and rulebending together as you can just swap gear at the HQ before using the respective skill. I, for instance, get into smart gear before I visit the crime scene to get the best PE possible and then change into my charming attire before I go round questioning people.

My hint is that you should ask for alibis (and check them) as you go along asking for motives. My reason is that ocassionally you all the suspects that you ask first might not have a valid alibi and so you can deduce (from the gam mechanics) that other suspects will all have valid alibis. Then if you have PE you test against your suspects (do this in such a way that eliminates as many suspects as possible eg. if only 1 PE can link a suspect to the scene of the crime then check that first, then check the same people with each PE - if none of them link the suspect then that suspect is innocent). If you still haven't caught the murderer then find out who the rest of the people on your list and question them about your remaining suspects. I find working this way allows to solve harder cases than I might otherwise. Does that make sense?

agrees with Ran :) Mojos is an excellent agency, there is alot of fun, and everyone takes care of each other, and helps one another...its the BEST and a great place for new detectives to be, to learn and know what an experienced agency is all about!! :) However, there are alot of great, experienced (or not) agencies out there, so if u are looking, good luck in finding the one u want :o)
