Does anyone know of any good, simple monologues that I would be able to get ahold of easily/sites that I could find monologues on??? I am a fair-skinned blonde teenage girl, so preferably something suited to me. I know this is really random, but I thought that someone here might know something as I really need one in a hurry!!
Thanks xxx

I guess could be my field of advice!

In all seriousness, there are a few things to consider when picking a monologue.

1. Try to not get it off-line. They usually aren't really that good.
2. Get one that matches you and your age.
3. Don't get a famous one (eg Hamlet). The 'panel' will usually actually deduct for that. It's the truth!

Try a local book-store. Borders, Walden Books, etc. Ask the clerk to direct you to the script/monologue section. They should have a good variety. Or try your local library! However, you can, if possible, get one from the play/production you are doing or from a similar play/production.

If you need any advice or a helping hand, let me know!!!

Thanks! I did a speech by Lady Bracknell in the Importace of Being Earnest which I did get online but only because I couldn't find a copy quick enough and I really like the play! So are you an actor or a director or what.....?

Great, hope it went well. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

That's okay that you got it offline, but usually the online 'rule' applies to things because people just write them and put them on websites.

I'm an actor and love it more than anything in the world.
