Well we have a thread about favorite movies, so I'm curious as to what books people like. Mine are (in no particular order):
Neverwhere
American Gods
Good Omens
All the Harry Potter Books
Anything by Mercedes Lackey
Phantom of the Opera
The Da Vinci Code
Angels and Demons
The Chronicles of Narnia
Illusions:The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
The Bridge Across Forever
All the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy books
The Grapes of Wrath
A Little Princess
The Little Prince (it's best in French!)
The Giver
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
And I'm sure there are lots I'm forgetting...

I posted my strictly mystery faves on the thread reda suggested above. (still think you're awesome reda for pming me your list of how many fakes to expect at x or Y level, lol!)

not-so-much mystery books I love (recently) are:

Dave Eggers, 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius'

Anne Marie MacDonald 'Fall on Your Knees'

Stephen Marche 'Raymond and Hannah' (He's a friend but I'd recommend it even if he wasn't)

Currently reading Everything is Illuminated by Jonathon Safran Foer and liking it, and White Teeth is next on my to do list Coda.
