Am I super Slow?
I've cleared 2 Cases with wrong suspicion and I keep getting stuck in Hard, twice.
I always can't find the Murderer.
He always flees.
I always get 7 out of 8 people.
This means I should stick with Intermidiate.
But how do I stop the Murderer from fleeing.

Hi...I've not been playing long myself, but want to check that you understand that the murderer isn't necessarily the person who ran away?

Meaning, that the suspect who ran away could even have an alibi as I think they are just randomly generated, the same as those who die (poor them, perhaps if we were better detectives...I saw Mrs Marple the other day - she could have stopped the death of a young girl if she'd listened to her - see even they make mistakes (what do you mean it's fiction?)).

Anyhow, at first I assumed they MUST have done it. But, no...

My limited advice would be to ignor the fact that they ran off and continue with the ones you have left. If you eventually get Underworld Connections faction skill off the Eastern Triads in London, then you can use it to find them again.

Another thing...if you make sure to note their hair, build etc on the first time you talk to them, then you might still be able to check for PE, though I would leave them til last.

Perhaps detectives have other methods for handling runners? (I've got UC, yersee...)

Oh...I forgot to say...you know that you talk to the townspeople to find the person who ran away?

So go to the waiter, for example, and there will be a link saying "Ask if he knows where Elsie Twinklebottom is hiding?".

I'd only do that though once you've got your alibis sorted out, as these questions count towards the chance of clamming. Though if you know that the runner IS the murderer than that is what you do.

Mumsy, I doubt he's actually seen a suspect flee yet, as they don't run until the Intermediate level. ;)

However, Nexus, if you have a look at my mod picks, the alibi and skill thread has the formulas for finding the guilty party.

Nexus, are you saying you had a suspect run off into hiding in a hard case? *is baffled as she knows Ben says it started at Increds and pulls books from the Sleuth Library to find the quote*

See....If you are having to get the townies to chase people down on the Hard level cases...then changes have occured in our world without warning. And that doesn't happen often.
