My favorite is Big Fish. It is really interesting, but confusing if you don't get it. It has the guy from star Wars if you need to amke sure which one!

great stuff! The show Phantom was great and I've been meaning to watch the film for ages now - I heard somewhere that the lead singer of the Killers 'wanted to be in the phantom of the opera' when he was done with his band or something like that. I saw the Producers at the cinema the other week and it was great, sam ewith the new King Kong though I saw the 1976 re-make recently and it was SO bad you wouldn't believe it! Chicago is brilliant same with Bridget Jones Diary - all on TV over the Christmas period so fresh in my mind. Grease is amazing and I recently saw American Pie at a sleepover and nearly died of laughter! Original Charlie and the Chocolate factory rocks unlike the new one which I saw once at imax and quite liked but then saw a second time and was counting down the seconds until it ended. Also The Lion King which is the best film EVER and taught me sarcasm (how much my mum wishes she'd never let me watch it) and Napoleon Dynamite which is sadly not big in the UK though luckily my californian cousins introduced me to it! thenks to them! I could go on but I wont. I'm hoping to see Brokeback Mountain and Jarhead as they look good and fingers crossed that the rumours about a 'Friends' film are true!! TV-wise I've been addicted to 'Lost' (1st series just finished here + I just found that I'm related to 'someone'in it) and The OC (series 3 just started - WHY does America get everything months ahead???) So there... I need a glass of water after that!

if you're into mob movies and chick-flicks watch Mickey Blue Eyes - a really strange Hugh Grant mafia thing

Amelie
All the Lord Of the Rings movies
Pirates of the Caribbean

As for "Phantom of the Opera"... I loved the book. I LOVE the musical, and think it's just about the best thing in the world. The movie however (in my opinion) was terrible. Gerard Butler can't sing. Emmy Rossum can't act. They added and changed things! The chandelier is supposed to fall in the middle, not the end! And I'll stop myself before I get too wrapped up in complaining and pointing out mistakes. *wanders off still muttering*
