Sorry, if I ask this question again, but is PICK POCKETING learned from Faction useful enough? Or should I consider learning something else like Handwriting analysis? .....

As has been stated quite a lot on these very boards in the last few days :D
It is best to get your full set of Interview Skills (tough OR charming) and Smart Skills first. Then worry about factions.

I suggest reading through Reaper's Agency and the Newbie Boards. They will answer just about every single question you could have and may even stop you making bad mistakes :)
