i'm a smart and charming detective, and have rule bending and sweet talking. would the advanced rule bedning and sweet talking be any help? or is it better if i get other skills?

Yes since u are charming, you should get your advanced charming skills (rule bending and sweet talking). Get all your interviewing skills and smart skills, and Research *grin*

It is always better to concentrate on just getting charming skills or just getting tough skills. Don't get a mix of the two.
Smarts are needed whichever type of detective you are.
