I know this game hasn't been updated in decades and the devs are probably not going to add something huge like a new location but Los Angeles seems like an ideal candidate if expansion were to ever happen.
1920s-1940s I think that's the time period of this game is considered the golden age of Hollywood.

Los Angeles would be fun paired with the San Francisco. Traveling between the two could maybe be a short two-day trip. Would be amusing to include dialog that highlights the NorCal/SoCal rivalry too.

This game has been on an infusion for years now. They can't even finish what they started like the antique store.
I won't hold any hopes for new things. Unless all of a sudden 10,000 new subscribers would pop up.
