So this is sort of related...did you all pick your pet due to skills it had starting out or just because you loved the pet. Because IRL I am a cat lady, and have been dying to get a cat, but I noticed that the ole' parrot has no toughness. And I am smart/charming. Delimma!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much about their initial stats. Go for the pet that appeals most to you.

And on a more positive note: take a look at ocbeo1's beautifully grown-up parrot! I don't think there's another like it in Sleuthland.
