Stooby's new mystery, Miss Village's Fate, is available to subscribers in London.

I was looking forward to a relaxing summer day at the local village fete. Things got sticky, though, when I agreed to judge the homemade jams competition. Somebody was determined to ensure five times winner, Miss Village, wouldn’t be raising the winner's trophy again… ever again.

My thanks also to SS/PA for being my own personal editor for a while! And to Ben for letting this pass...

I hope everyone enjoys playing it.

As I have 2 other mysteries in the pipeline (no follow ons to this though) I'd welcome any advice and feedback.

"Miss Village's Fate" is enjoyable reading in good old British style. Nothing is missing: village fetes, jars of jam and old ladies sitting by the fire sipping tea, but, as Miss Marple knew so well, the life in a village has its darker side.

My only objection is that the detective is clearly male, but that didn't diminish my pleasure in this amusing mystery.

Ah well spotted on the "male" thingy Rosamund. It was about a day after I'd sent it off to be edited I thought "No why didn't I make the detective unisex..."....

I've got to watch out for that one in the future!

It really was fun. Definitely one of my favourites.
And suprising too. I really liked it and I hope to see more from Stooby.

Thanks a lot Tollo and Lady Jas, glad people are enjoying my first effort into Scripted Mysteries! I'll work on more but it will take time!
